The Cytotechnology Program is located within the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

The Cytotechnology Program has found a new academic home in the Department of Genetics within the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS).

The clinical setting and training facilities at the WSLH provides students with the tools rerquired to accurately detect cancer including:

  • Exposure to an operating cytology laboratory
  • Intensive mentoring and training with board certified experienced cytotechnologists
  • Direction under board certified cytopathologist

The 12 month training program begins each year in the middle of August. Enrollment is limited to no more than 12 students.
