Description of Session:

This one day conference will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about current topics in clinical and public health virology. Topics which will be discussed include: Surveillance of Avian Influenza in Wild Bird Populations, “Lessons learned” from the Mpox outbreak panel, Wastewater Surveillance Update, RSV – Situational update, Air Sampling in Schools for surveillance of Respiratory Pathogens and Effects of the Drop in Vaccination Rates Post-Pandemic. The conference will provide attendees an opportunity to learn about viruses of clinical and public health importance and to network with other clinical microbiologists in Wisconsin.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 6.0 contact hours of instruction toward credit.

This program is co-sponsored by ASCLS-WI which is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.
