Description of Session:

Reading a Gram stain correctly, assessing the quality of the Gram stain, and accurately reporting what is present on the Gram stain in a manner that helps the clinician provide appropriate care for their patient, is a skill that laboratory professionals must acquire. This can be challenging for generalists who only prepare and read Gram stains infrequently. Please join us for this interactive session as our speakers share their view through the lens of a microscope as they read Gram stains in this live Zoom event.  You will be able to ask questions as you view the Gram stain slides with them and improve your technical skills in providing quality Grams stain reports.

A certificate of participation will be granted to each participant based on 0.5 contact hours of instruction toward credit.
