This presentation will provide an overview of the epidemiology and clinical manifestations of Bordetella species including B. pertussis, B. parapertussis, B. holmesii, and B. bronchiseptica. Methods for the laboratory diagnosis of bordetellae infections including PCR, culture, and serology will be described.
